Junior Golf October League 2020
Finally against all odds the October league has been completed!. Congratulations to team Tralee who with a full team turnout in the final round combined with great scoring managed to leapfrog up the leaderboard and into first place. Full results are in the file below.

The Lambe Cup and Cody Cup matchplay champions have been decided. In 2 exciting matches Rory Lillis managed to beat Tom Clancy to take the Lambe Cup home. In the Cody cup Joseph McMahon and Brian Conway had a great battle with Joseph taking the title. Great matchplay golf all round, well done all!
Clare Parklands Golf Championship 2020
7 junior golfers from Kilrush participated in the Clare Parklands Golf Championship in East Clare GC on Saturday 26th of September. Aaron & Darragh Townsend, Steven Fennell, Rory Lillis, Evan McGibney, Padraig O'Driscoll and Tom Clancy had an enjoyable days golf in fine weather and course conditions.
With Tom taking top gross prize in the U18 category and Rory best nett in the U14 category, it was a successful day also! See pictures below, well done all.

Spanish Point GC trip and visit
During August we were invited to bring 16 young golfers to Spanish Point GC for some golf matches and food - the following week Spanish Point visited Kilrush GC for more of the same. Some great golf played and new friends made. Spanish Point won the contest by 10-6 and we look forward to continuing this event in 2021.

Munster Boys U15 Close Championship
Best of luck to both Tom Clancy and Rory Lillis who are participating in the Munster U15 Boys Close championship in West Waterford GC on this Wednesday August 5th. It is a credit to the boys to be involved in a field of top class teenage golfers from around the province and we wish them the best of luck.
Boys U18 Inter-Club event at Ennis GC, Monday 27th July
Congratulations and well done to Darragh Townsend, Evan McGibney, Kyle McKiernan, Rory Lillis & Tom Clancy who represented Kilrush at the U18 Inter club event. With 3 stableford scores to count from the 5 players, our scorers were Tom 33pts, Kyle 30pts, Rory 28pts - Evan and Darragh were backing them up close behind!
Liam hehir hole in one!
A massive congratulations to Liam on getting a hole in one at the 8th hole in Kilrush on Wednesday morning. This is an achievement that golfers all hope to accomplish once in their golfing careers. It was absolutely no bother to Liam who launched his tee shot up into the sky and landed it softly down beside the flag and watching it release right up and into the cup.
